In Madinah, bathe for the ziyarah. Stop at the door of the Mosque and ask permission to enter, then enter by the Gate of Jibril, right foot first, and repeat one hundred times.
allāhu akbar
Allah is the Greatest.
Then offer the two rak'ah of greeting the mosque. Walk to the holy chamber, touch it with your hand, kiss it, and say.
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā rasūla llāh
Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah.
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā nabiyya llāh
Peace be upon you, O Prophet of Allah.

as-salāmu ʿalayka yā khātama n-nabiyyīn
Peace be upon you, O Seal of the Prophets.

wa ātayta z-zakāh
gave alms,
wa amarta bi-l-maʿrūf
enjoined the right,
wa nahayta ʿani l-munkar
forbade the wrong,
wa ʿabadta llāha mukhliṣan ḥattā atāka l-yaqīn
and served Almighty Allah sincerely until death came upon you.
fa-ṣalawātu llāhi ʿalayka wa raḥmatuh
Blessings and mercy of Allah be upon you
wa ʿalā ahli baytika ṭ-ṭāhirīn
and upon your Household, the Immaculate.
Then stand by the fore pillar on the right of the tomb, the minbar to your right, facing the qibla — this is where the Prophet's head rests — and say.
ashhadu an lā ilāha illa llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah
I bear witness that there is no god save Allah, One and Only and having no associate,
wa ashhadu anna muḥammadan ʿabduhu wa rasūluh
and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.

worshipped Allah -until death came upon you-
bi-l-ḥikmati wa-l-mawʿiẓati l-ḥasanah

wa addayta lladhī ʿalayka mina l-ḥaqq
fulfilled the duty that was incumbent upon you,
wa annaka qad raʾufta bi-l-muʾminīn
acted compassionately to the believers,
wa ghaluẓta ʿala l-kāfirīn
and been firm of heart against the unbelievers.

Therefore, Almighty Allah has exalted you to the most honorable position of the ennobled ones.

and all those who glorified You, O Lord of the Worlds,
mina l-awwalīna wa-l-ākhirīn
from the past and the coming generations,
ʿalā muḥammadin ʿabdika wa rasūlik

grant him the right of intercession for entering Paradise,
wa-bʿathhu maqāman maḥmūdan yaghbiṭuhu bihi l-awwalūna wa-l-ākhirūn
and raise him to a Position of Glory that all the past and the coming generations will wish to have.
allāhumma innaka qult
O Allah, You have said,
wa law annahum idh ẓalamū anfusahum jāʾūka fa-staghfaru llāh
“And had they, when they were unjust to themselves, come to you and asked forgiveness of Allah
wa-staghfara lahumu r-rasūl
and the Messenger had (also) asked forgiveness for them,
la-wajadu llāha tawwāban raḥīmā
they would have found Allah Oft-returning (to mercy), Merciful.”
wa innī ataytuka mustaghfiran tāʾiban min dhunūbī
Here I am, before you, asking Allah’s forgiveness, repenting from my sins,
wa innī atawajjahu bika ila llāhi rabbī wa rabbika li-yaghfira lī dhunūbī
and seeking your intercession for me before Almighty Allah—your and my Lord—that He may forgive my sins.
