اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱللَّهِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā waliyya llāh
Peace be upon you, O Allah’s friend.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ ٱللَّهِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā ḥujjata llāh
Peace be upon you, O Allah’s argument.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ ٱللَّهِ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ ٱلأَرْضِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā nūra llāhi fī ẓulumāti l-arḍ
Peace be upon you, O Allah’s light in the darkness of the earth.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَمُودَ ٱلدِّينِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā ʿamūda d-dīn
Peace be upon you, O pillar of the religion.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ آدَمَ صَفْوَةِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha ādama ṣafwati llāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Adam the choice of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ نُوحٍ نَبِيِّ ٱللَّهِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha nūḥin nabiyyi llāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Noah the prophet of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha ibrāhīma khalīli llāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Abraham the intimate friend of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ إِسْمَاعيلَ ذَبيحِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha ismāʿīla dhabīḥi llāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Ishmael the slain for the sake of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُوسَىٰ كَلِيمِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha mūsā kalīmi llāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Moses the spoken by Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عِيسَىٰ رُوحِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha ʿīsā rūḥi llāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Jesus the spirit of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha muḥammadin rasūli llāh
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Muhammad the messenger of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha amīri l-muʾminīn
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of the Commander of the Faithful
عَلِيٍّ وَلِيِّ ٱللَّهِ
ʿaliyyin waliyyi llāh
`Ali the authority of Allah
وَوَصِيِّ رَسُولِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
wa waṣiyyi rasūli rabbi l-ʿālamīn
and the successor of the Messenger of the Lord of the worlds.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ فَاطِمَةَ ٱلزَّهْرَاءِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha fāṭimata z-zahrāʾ
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Fatimah the luminous lady.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ ٱلْحَسَنِ وَٱلْحُسَيْنِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha l-ḥasani wa l-ḥusayn
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of al-Hasan and al-Husayn
سَيِّدَيْ شَبَابِ أَهْلِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ
sayyiday shabābi ahli l-jannah
the two chiefs of the youth of Paradise.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ عَليِّ بْنِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ زَيْنِ ٱلْعَابِدِينَ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha ʿaliyyi bni l-ḥusayni zayni l-ʿābidīn
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of `Ali the son of al-Husayn the adornment of the worshippers.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha muḥammadi bni ʿaliyy
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Muhammad the son of `Ali
بَاقِرِ عِلْمِ ٱلأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلآخِرِينَ
bāqiri ʿilmi l-awwalīna wa l-ākhirīn
the splitter of the knowledge of the past and the last generations.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha jaʿfari bni muḥammad
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Ja`far the son of Muhammad
ٱلصَّادِقِ ٱلْبَارِّ
aṣ-ṣādiqi l-bārr
the veracious and dutiful.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَارِثَ مُوسَىٰ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā wāritha mūsā bni jaʿfar
Peace be upon you, O inheritor of Musa the son of Ja`far.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلصِّدِّيقُ ٱلشَّهِيدُ
as-salāmu ʿalayka ayyuha ṣ-ṣiddīqu sh-shahīd
Peace be upon you, O ever-truthful and martyr.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْوَصِيُّ ٱلْبَارُّ ٱلتَّقِيُّ
as-salāmu ʿalayka ayyuha l-waṣiyyu l-bārru t-taqiyy
Peace be upon you, O dutiful and pious successor.
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ أَقَمْتَ ٱلصَّلاَةَ
ashhadu annaka qad aqamta ṣ-ṣalāh
I bear witness that you performed the prayers,
وَآتَيْتَ ٱلزَّكَاةَ
wa ātayta z-zakāh
defrayed the poor-rate (and alms),
وَأَمَرْتَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ
wa amarta bi-l-maʿrūf
enjoined the right,
وَنَهَيْتَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنْكَرِ
wa nahayta ʿani l-munkar
forbade the wrong,
وَعَبَدْتَ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصاً حَتَّىٰ أَتَاكَ ٱلْيَقِينُ
wa ʿabadta llāha mukhliṣan ḥattā atāka l-yaqīn
and serve Allah sincerely until death came upon you.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا ٱلْحَسَنِ
as-salāmu ʿalayka yā aba l-ḥasan
Peace be upon you, O Abu’l-Hasan.
وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
wa raḥmatu llāhi wa barakātuh
Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.
